Dunhill

Sandstone font

The octagonal font at Dunhill is a real disappointment. It is situated in the graveyard on the south side of the Roman Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart, in the centre of the village. The font has a round bottomed base with a drain hole, but sadly one of the sides is now broken, this may have happened recently as I have seen no reference to it being broken. It may have been moved here from the ruined medieval church located about 200 metres west of Dunhill Castle.
