Bullaun Stone

I had known about the bullaun stone at Huntington castle for several years. I have often visited the castle but on most occasions there were crops or cattle present in the field. I was pleasantly surprised to find the field clear on my latest trip. The granite boulder is much larger than I expected and can be seen from the driveway. The single bullaun is approximately 0.20 metres deep. I placed my lens cap on the top of the boulder, see image below, to give you an idea of it's size. It is believed it may still lie in it's original position.

Situated: The bullaun stone is located in the grounds of Huntington Castle, Clonegal. It is in a field on the left side of the driveway leading to the castle.
