Trahannacorresh Clochaun In the northeast corner of the cashel is another large clochaun known as Trahannacorresh, or 'Lenten Trahen'. It is a rectangular building with rounded corners and like Torybrennell, it too has a scarcement around the exterior although it is not as obvious to the viewer. Access to the building is along a sunken passageway and down a few steps into the clochaun. Internally the clochaun is divided into three chambers. As expected, the roof was constructed using the corbelling technique. |
