Milltown Rock Art In the field east of Gallán na Cille Brice are two prostrate stones. The stone lying to the east bears some amazing rock art on the northern end. There are at least 18 cup-marks on the eastern sloping face, with about 8 cup and rings on the same broad surface. There is a single cup and ring motif at the southern end. The rock art can be quite difficult to see in strong daylight. Late evening may be the best time to view the rock art. There is no decoration on the other prostrate stone. Fifty metres further into the field is a stone pair known as "The Gates of Glory". |
