Ballymacormick /Ballymacormack 12th Century Nave and Chancel Church Situated just off the N63 in Mullaghavorneen Townland, about one kilometre south of Longford is Ballymacormack Church. The church was built in the 12th century, but a two storey priest's residence may have been added to the west end of the nave in the 16th century, a single-light ogee headed window with hood moulding, may have been inserted into the south wall of the chancel during the rebuilding phase. The nave is entered through the pointed doorway shown in the bottom image. Few other features remain, apart from the lugged stoup cemented into what remains of the dividing wall of the priest's residence.
