Banagher Megalithic Complex Enclosure / Henge These large enclosures date to the early Bronze Age. They vary in size from approx 20 metres to 100 metres in diameter, this particular one is 42 metres at it's widest point. The main features are an oval shaped bank with an inner ditch and causeway or causeways (entrances). The bank at Banagher varies in width and height, and has three breaks or openings, these are at the NNW, SSE and NNE of the bank. The internal ditch/fosse is now only present on northern side of the enclosure. The henge is best viewed from the passage tomb.
