Banagher Megalithic Complex Portal Tomb About three hundred metres east of the passage tomb at Banagher are the remains of this neat looking portal tomb. The small chamber, pictured to the left in the image below, is all that remains in situ. The chamber faces to the south-east and consists of a backstone set between the ends of two side-stones. A pointed portal stone stands at the southside of the chamber. The other portal stone is missing. A large prostrate slab, situated south of the portal stone maybe have been the roofstone. The chamber is only 1.6 metres long by 1 metre wide. The court tomb was situated in the furthest field, in the top right, of the image below.

A groups of stones, seen to the middle right in the image below, may be field clearance, but it been suggested it may have been a subsidiary structure. The uniformity and position of some these stones would fit this theory.
